"Since ancient times people all over the world have used make-up to alter their appearance and express their sense of beauty... Its versatility as a medium for self-expression never ceases to amaze."
—Karl Groning, Decorated Skin

Painted Body Portraiture is a luxurious, fun, and sacred way to celebrate
  • Pregnancy
  • Marriage
  • Rites of passage
  • Graduation
You are the living canvas. Your session starts with a meeting at your home or my studio. We'll talk and gather ideas for your painting.

Using intutive skills and craftsmanship we create a unique artwork on your body using professional, non-toxic, body paints. Just about anything is possible.

I photograph you before and after painting, so you'll have a complete document of your metamorphosis.

"I had the best time having my big belly painted by Lauren. She offers the best of everything. From the first meeting she was very sensitive and professional and asked what was important to me. As an artist, she painted my belly with great ease and fluidity. When i showed off my belly to friends, it took their breath away—and I had no desire to take a shower! I recommend Lauren to all the pregnant moms I meet.
— Cinzia, dancer, body worker
Body Casting is another great way to celebrate pregnancy or personal rituals. As with body painting, we work together to create the artwork. it would be my honor to paint the plaster body cast, or you may take it home to embellish yourself.
"I was asked to bring ten items to our session to give us ideas. I was grateful for the process at a time when I was finding my spritual strength in preparation for fatherhood."
— Daniel, writer

"Lauren and I collaborated intuitively to explore and celebrate the birth of my son during my first and second trimesters. The creative process mirrored the flow and creation happening inside me."
